Aims and scope:
The Journal of Business-to-Business Marketing encourages diversity in approaches to business marketing theory development, research methods, and managerial problem solving. Some of the main topical areas covered by the journal are business buyer relationship management, business buying behavior, industrial segmentation, business marketing strategy, ethical business marketing practices, legal issues/government regulation, and traditional business marketing mix areas including but not limited to: industrial products/ business services, developing innovations, business brands, packaging, pricing (negotiations, bidding), industrial distribution—logistics and supply chain management, promotion (personal selling and sales management, trade shows, direct marketing methods, sales promotions, and industrial advertising), and the impact of Internet practices upon all areas of business marketing. Academics and industry professionals are invited to submit manuscripts to the journal that can contribute to the science and practice of business marketing.
Manuscript submissions:
In the subject line, please indicate that this is a submission to the Journal of Business-to-Business Marketing (JBBM). The body of the e-mail should contain the cover letter indicating names and affiliations of all authors and a request to the Editor that the manuscript be sent out for review. All editorial inquiries should be directed to the Editor.
Each manuscript must be accompanied by a statement that it has not been published elsewhere and that it has not been submitted simultaneously for publication elsewhere. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material from other sources and are required to sign an agreement for the transfer of copyright to the publisher. All accepted manuscripts, artwork, and photographs become the property of the publisher.
Your manuscript may be 25–55 typed pages, including abstract, visuals, references, and practitioners summary. Your manuscript should be double-spaced, using 12 point font. Lengthier manuscripts may be considered, but only at the discretion of the editor. The abstract should precede the text on a separate piece of paper. The entire manuscript, including abstract, quotations, tables, and references, must be double-spaced.
References:
References, citations, and general style of manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with The Chicago Manual of Style, 15th edition. Cite in the text by author and date (Smith 1983) and include an alphabetical list at the end of the article.
Illustrations:
Illustrations submitted (line drawings, halftones, photos, photomicrographs, etc.) should be digital files that follow these guidelines:
- 300 dpi or higher
- Sized to fit on journal page
- EPS, TIFF, or PSD format only
- Submitted as separate files, not embedded in text files
Color Reproduction
Color illustrations will be considered for publication; however, the author will be required to bear the full cost involved in color art reproduction. Color art can be purchased for online only reproduction or for print + online reproduction. Color reprints can only be ordered if print + online reproduction costs are paid. Rates for color art reproduction are: Online Only Reproduction: $225 for the first page of color; $100 for the next three pages of color. A custom quote will be provided for articles with more than four pages of color. A maximum charge of $525 applies. Print + Online Reproduction: $900 for the first page of color; $450 for the next three pages of color. A custom quote will be provided for articles with more than four pages of color. Art not supplied at a minimum of 300 dpi will not be considered for print.
Tables and Figures:
Tables and figures (illustrations) should not be embedded in the text, but should be included as separate sheets or files. A short descriptive title should appear above each table with a clear legend and any footnotes suitably identified below.
Proofs:
Page proofs are sent to the designated author using Taylor & Francis' Central Article Tracking System (CATS). They must be carefully checked and returned within 48 hours of receipt.
Reprints and Issues:
Reprints of individual articles are available for order at the time authors review page proofs. A discount on reprints is available to authors who order before print publication. Each corresponding author will receive 3 complete issues in which the article publishes and a complimentary PDF.
