Instructions for Authors

Instructions for Authors

Authors should submit an electronic copy of the abstract and the article to s.redmond@deakin.edu.au, retaining a copy for their own records. Essays should be in English, double spaced, including all quoted material, notes and references. Authors should confirm at submission that their essay is not also under consideration with another journal or publisher. Please ensure that the article document does not include the author details (although these should be included in the submission email)

Submissions will be subject to a blind review before acceptance.

Manuscripts should be between 6,000 to 8,000 words, double spaced and should conform to the Harvard reference style. The Harvard style uses the name of the author and the date as a key to the full bibliographic details which are set out at the end of the paper. Article title and abstract should appear on page one, with the abstract followed by 5 key words. The article should begin on page two.

Authors will be required to submit an accepted manuscript in electronic form, preferably Word Files. An email address and full postal address must be supplied for the corresponding author

Celebrity Studies - Forum Section

Celebrity Forum is a section of Celebrity Studies Journal that provides a space for timely responses to contemporary and historical issues in celebrity culture. We encourage submissions in two forms: 1,000-1,500 words (including notes) “think pieces”, including case studies, which should be provocative and open-ended, encouraging exchange and debate. Alternatively, we invite 500-1,000 word (including notes) submissions of comments and views on previous articles published within either the main section of the journal or Celebrity Forum. Above all, Celebrity Forum is designed to be dialogical and primarily engaged with cutting edge developments in celebrity and its study.

Forum Section submissions should be sent to James Bennett, Royal Holloway, University of London james.bennett@rhul.ac.uk

Copyright and authors' rights. It is a condition of publication that authors assign copyright or license the publication rights in their articles, including abstracts, to Taylor & Francis. This enables us to ensure full copyright protection and to disseminate the article, and of course the Journal, to the widest possible readership in print and electronic formats as appropriate. Authors retain many rights under the Taylor & Francis rights policies, which can be found at http://journalauthors.tandf.co.uk/preparation/copyright.asp. Authors are themselves responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyright material from other sources.

Exceptions are made for certain Governments' employees whose policies require that copyright cannot be transferred to other parties. We ask that a signed statement to this effect is submitted when returning proofs for accepted papers.

Free article access. As corresponding author, you will receive free access to your article on Taylor & Francis Online. You will be given access to the My authored works section of Taylor & Francis Online, which shows you all your published articles. You can easily view, read, and download your published articles from there. In addition, if someone has cited your article, you will be able to see this information. We are committed to promoting and increasing the visibility of your article and have provided this guidance <http://journalauthors.tandf.co.uk/beyondpublication/promotearticle.asp>  on how you can help.
