Technical Services Quarterly keeps its readers informed of current developments and future trends in computers, automation, and advanced technologies in the technical operations of libraries and information centers. This highly readable journal publishes up-to-the-minute information that technical services professionals and paraprofessionals need in order to successfully negotiate changes in the field and take full advantage of automated systems that ultimately make collections more accessible to users.  

Devoted to new trends in computer automation and advanced technologies in the technical operation of libraries and information centers, Technical Services Quarterly features articles by the most highly regarded professionals in the field who are on the cutting edge of technical services, automation, networking, document delivery, information technology, case studies, cost analysis, staffing, space, organizational behavior and leadership, and collection development and management.  

Technical Services Quarterly publishes both thematic issues devoted to one subject of current concern and generic issues covering a variety of topics of interest. Regular features of the journal include: 
  • "Technical Services Report,"-edited by Barry B. Baker- contains the latest developments in technical services and automation and offers reports from persons attending workshops and conferences
