In this peer-reviewed forum, enhanced with full color illustrations, professors, researchers, and practicing librarians with a passion for geography and cartographic materials share their findings and experiences with their colleagues around the world.

You'll also explore a wide variety of topics within the field, including:

  • changing methodologies for the delivery of cartographic materials
  • research involving historical maps and atlases
  • the software that aspiring cartographers, geographers, and map librarians need to master to become competent manipulators and presenters of geospatial data
  • GIS and geopsatial data standards, uses, and potentials
  • working with data produced by governmental mapping agencies as well as non-governmental agencies

Peer Review Policy:  All research articles in Journal of Map & Geography Libraries have undergone a rigorous double-blind peer review, based on initial editor screening, refereeing by a minimum of two anonymous referees, and final review by the editor.
