Aims & Scope

The European Journal of Cognitive Psychology is the official journal of the European Society for Cognitive Psychology, which aims to encourage the exchange and integration of ideas, research and training in cognitive psychology. The journal publishes reports of empirical work (including brief reports), theoretical contributions and reviews of the literature in all areas of cognitive psychology including applied cognitive psychology. Peer commentaries sometimes accompany theoretical papers in an attempt to stimulate lively debate about controversial issues within cognitive psychology. The European Journal of Cognitive Psychology is an international journal, with increasing numbers of submissions from outside Europe, especially North America and Japan. The Editor is anxious to publish high quality papers from authors both within and outside Europe.

This journal is of interest to experimental cognitive psychologists, applied psychologists, psycholinguists, computer scientists, cognitive neuropsychologists and those working in allied disciplines.

Peer Review Integrity
All published research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by independent expert referees.
